The ways of magic are revealed in nature...The secrets are written in meandering streams and drifting clouds, whispered by the roaring ocean and cooling breeze, echoed through caves and rocks and forests. When you draw a heart in the sand, call on the four winds for assistance, or ask the rain to wash away a bad habit, you are practicing earth magic. By working in harmony with nature, we can transform ourselves, our lives, and our world. This tried-and-true guide offers more than one hundred spells, rites, and simple rituals you can perform using the powerful energy of the earth. Scott Cunningham was a greatly respected teacher and one of the most influential members of the modern Craft movement. A practitioner of elemental magic for twenty years, he wrote more than fifty books, including the seminal Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.… (mere)

A Great reference Book, however the downside is the author does not state where he got his information from in the plant profiles, not does he indicate the chemical constituents of the herbs, what herbs should be used internally or topically with caution, what herbs should never be used internally, etc... All element focused workings so it provides for a nice, concise reference but it's really just a reformat of a lot of Cunningham's other writings. ( )

Earth Power has lots of interesting ideas for becoming more in-tune and working with nature and the elements in raw ways without the 'frills' of more ceremonial magic. This book is defiantly a great for people who like simplistic and natural spells and magic, but this book also offers some good information as well. ( )

A great resource for those interested in natural magic. Cunningham gives sample rituals for different purposes, and they're very easy to adapt for your own rituals. ( )

Purchased for a course I was doing. Nice art nouveau illustrations inside, but otherwise, pretty dull - very basic spell ideas, with little encouragement to make up your own. I will probably end up raiding the illustrations for art projects rather than referring to the text. ( )

The study of a simple rose blossom, blade of grass, veined leaf or the whistle of the wind through leafy trees will reveal as much,if not more, concerning ht true nature of magic than will a hundred dusty Renaissance tomes."
