Jack's friend Charlie seems to know how to get away with just about anything. Adults always back down when you say you're sorry. But does an apology count if you don't really mean it? Jack learns that the path to forgiveness isn't always the easiest. Includes afterword by apology-expert Dr. Aaron Lazare, M.D., note from author, and discussion questions.

This book is important to read to children to teach them the difference between a real apology and just saying 'sorry' . Charlie has made other kids unhappy with his penchant for being untruthful. Kids need to learn this lesson.

A little boy named jack thinks he can do anything as long as he says he is sorry. He thinks he can get away with anything. until he learns this is not true. He learns the true meaning of forgiveness and that when you say you are sorry you rally mean it and it means you do not do it again.

I'm sure you've heard an "I'm sorry" that has been simply dripping with insincerity! This is the story of Jack's friend, Charlie, who seems to think he can get away with anything if he simply says "sorry". He has learnt that most of the time grown-ups tend to back down once the "I'm sorry" is said. This story shows us that there's a lot more to a real apology than a simple "sorry".
