This book is about a rabbit who realizes he is getting a new set of otter neighbors in his forest. The rabbit is very nervous about this transition and is told by a wise owl that he should, “Do unto Otters what you would have Otters do unto you.” The rabbit takes this advice to heart and starts to come up with criteria that he will use in order to make sure he is treating his new neighbors the same way he would want to be treated. Funny and useful explanation of the golden rule and general manners and rules for getting along with folks. There were some good little puns in the book that I was able to explain to my 3.5yo who guffawed loudly. And a fart joke, always popular with the preschool set. Wonderful illustrations and a great book to use to talk about manners and how we treat others. If you want to teach your child about manners and being respectful towards others, this is the read aloud I would suggest. It discusses kind qualities such as being honest, considerate, sharing, saying please/thank you/excuse me, and so much more in a silly, creative way. Each page has multiple illustrations of the characters that make you laugh and want to read on. This is the best written book I've seen to remind kids of the golden rule to treat others (otters) as you want to be treated. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
