En sød detalje omkring Lorenz vejrsystemet er at han krediterede sine programmører Ellen Fetter (senere gift med fysikeren John Gille og derfor nu Ellen Gille) og Margaret Hamilton, men efterfølgende blev det jo overset, fordi de ikke var skrevet på som medforfattere til artiklen.
