I believe that I have read this as a short story, but the original voice play format makes it far more frightening than the written words can. Something about hearing the events take place alongside the narration is infinitely more disturbing, since we can no longer skim over uncomfortable paragraphs. Thank god this hasn't been turned into a video yet... A year or so ago the children told me they were studying fairytales told from alternative points of view, and when I saw this I thought this may have been one of them. Out of interest, I started to read it and soon came to the conclusion that this was probably not among the stories read to the children who were in grade 2 at the time. However I thoroughly enjoyed this re-telling of the Snow White story, which told from the viewpoint of the stepmother and with an intended audience which would be adults, it was actually quite dark, probably more in line with the origins of most of the fairy tales. Quick read but well worth it. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
