Chester is a delightfully funny book about a big cat who doesn't want to share the book with anyone else, and with his red marker, he won't have to.

A really fun book to read to kids, or if you'd like the audio book, here is one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n7dwrSwSFQ ( )

The battle between the author and a cat. Chester wants control of the story and he wants the story to be about himself! He has to have the last word and that is made apparent by the use of red marker instead of traditional text. The illustrations are super cute! I love the fact that she drew Chester so big because he wants to be the centre of attention! ( )

Chester is no ordinary story, as author melanie watt and Chester the cat duel for control over the plot of her story. This is a fun book to read in class that can help spark interest in students to create their own stories like Chester does.

For Chester because I couldn't have made this book without him. He's the smartest, most handsome cat in the world. I wish I could be lie him someday.
