Each page contains a detailed illustration and the name of the bird or birds depicted. The illustrations are large, and can help identify some common birds seen in backyards. The only downside is that there is no other information given for each species. A few succinct lines about habitat and qualities, etc. would have enhanced the book. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

One of the things I like best about Arnosky's Crinkleroot books is Crinkleroot himself, so Crinkleroot's 25 Birds Every Child Should Know was a bit of a letdown, as he appears only on the first two pages, in a short introduction. The rest of the book is given over to the birds being profiled. That being said, this was still an engaging and beautifully-illustrated picture-book about avian wildlife for younger children. No additional information about the birds is given - just their name and an illustrative depiction - so I think it works better as an introduction to bird identification, rather than as a more detailed guide. Recommended to young bird and animal lovers, and to fans of Jim Arnosky's artwork.
