This wordless picture book follows the trials of a little old lady's attempts to have pancakes for breakfast are hindered by a scarcity of supplies and the participation of her pets. -- Annapolis Valley Regional Library I love this book. It is super cute. It begins with the idea to make pancakes and even includes the recipe on the next page. It encourages the reader to make their own predictions about whats going to happen while making the pancakes. It introduces problems the lady has but shows the solution. This is a great story to use with children while working on problem and solution and inferences. 5/5 Stars. I liked how it began with the idea to make the pancakes through a simple illustration of thought bubbles and proceeded to the next page even including the recipe which can also be considered as scientific text. It shows the gathering of ingredience (naturally, milking cow and gathering eggs). At times it is clearly obvious the lady has worries (problems) however ends up finding the solution which is a great way to introduce academic language to students. The book shows a great sense of sequence of events while also displaying problem and solution. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

This is the story of a women making a pancake breakfast. The book goes through the different steps that the women took to be able to make her breakfast. After reading the recipe, the women began to create her batter when she remembered she was out of eggs. She then went out to her chicken coop to fetch some eggs. The book goes through a process of getting each ingredient to make the pancakes and lays out how to sequentially follow a recipe.
I would use this book to teach my students about how to do this in a sequential order. It is important to understand the steps that it takes to get to a final product. (
