The Encyclopedia expands upon that earlier work with character biographies and with far more details than Chronology could provide. The First Edition is lovingly crafted in paperback form with B&W photos, high quality B&W graphics, and bright white paper. Unlike the infamous Second Edition, the starship class diagrams in this First Edition were neither scaled wrong nor were any flipped upside down. Definitely for a hard core fan! This is a great reference book oozing with minutia and detail from all aspects Star Trek.movies and television shows. Perfect for finding out about weapons, ships, characters food and more. If you are a Star Trek fan you will be pleased to have this one in your librarry. An early edition of a book of reference which covers the Universe of the Federation of Planets (Star Trek).
