It offers that rare glimpse into Jack and Jackie’s pre-Camelot days. The photos themselves were stunning and I learned a lot of little details about them and their early life together. ( ) This was a very interesting look at the early days of the marriage of John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline. The book spans just a short period in their early married lives. It seems that this period was the "calm before the storm". Soon, JFK's back would require surgery and after an agonizing recovery he was hard on the path to the White House. The book is pretty unique among Kennedy books, in that it focuses on a period that is pretty much skimmed over by others. The photos really tell the story, but the text is full of interesting tidbits, giving background info and some good anecdotes from the photographer. A must for any Kennedy aficionado. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
In May 1954, photographer Orlando Suero spent five days with John and Jacqueline Kennedy in their three-storey townhouse in Georgetown. In more than 20 photo sessions, he documented a typical week in the couple's life. No library descriptions found. |
