There are probably better and more complete Beatles biographies by now, but at the time this came out, it was a very enjoyable and well illustrated introduction to the works of the Fab Four, and it should undoubtedly please most readers today, as well. The coverage is evenhanded and gives credit where credit is due. (

For a book published by a bargain book company, this has remained over the years one of my favorite Beatles books. A good history of the band and lots of wonderful pictures and memorabilia. (
