Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. HTML:A chill falls over Christina Hardy's housewarming party when talk turns to a recent murder that has all the hallmarks of the so-called 'Interstate Killer' murders from fifteen years before. To lighten the mood, the guests drag out an old Ouija board for a little spooky fun--and that's when things become truly terrifying.

Summoned by the Ouija board, the restless spirit of Beau Kidd, the lead detective--and chief suspect--on the original case, seeks Christina's help: the latest killing isn't a copycat crime, and he wants his name cleared. Back in the real world, cop-turned-writer Jed Braden is skeptical of Christina's ghostly encounters, but his police sources confirm all the intimate details of the case--her otherworldly source is reliable, and the body count is growing. The spirits are right. The Interstate Killer is still out there, and Christina's life is hanging in the balance between this world and the next.

I've always been a big fan of Heather Graham. All of her books are amazing, and this one was no different.

I love the Harrison Investigation books because I love the way crime & the paranormal are combined. However, this book didn't have that much paranormal going on for it which disappointed me a bit.

Another thing that was a bit disappointing were the grammatical errors "What do to" instead of "What to do". And in one place, the character of Katherine, her name changes to Kathleen for 2 pages!!

Other than that, it was a good read. The prologue really got me interested in the book. Then it got a bit boring, but gradually, it became interesting again.

One other thing that bothered me was the sex in this book. I'm not a big fan of sex in books. I didn't think it needed that much description as Heather Graham put in there, but that is just a personal preference.

Like I said, a very good read that won't disappoint! ( )

This was a pretty quick and entertaining read that keeps you wondering. You know there's going to be trouble when someone pulls out a Ouija Board! Graham is also good at making several of the characters potential suspects, and I admit I changed my mind a few times before getting it right, and then cheating by skipping to the back to see if I was because I still wasn't 100% sure.

I do wish that Adam Harrison and his group were a little more involved in the stories, in the last couple I've read, their part is actually pretty small. I guess I'd enjoy a little more eerie-ness than we're getting. The ghost in this one is more endearing than scary, and I was getting a little irritated at the Christina for how she reacted to him. He was not a very ghostly ghost, though he was very considerate. If I'm ever to be haunted, that's what I want, a polite and considerate ghost! lol!

What would you think or how would you feel if someone, who was suppose to be dead, suddenly appeared before you asking for help? That's what Christina Hardy has to come to terms with. After her Grandmother passes away, she moves into her Grandparent's house. At her housewarming party, an old Ouija board is brought out and the ghost of Beau Kidd, who was believed to be the "Interstate Killer", soon shows himself to Christina. Beau, an officer of the law, was shot and killed one night fifteen years ago, by his partner, while bent over the final victim in the killings. Everyone believed that the murderer had been caught and the killings did indeed stop. Fifteen years later, however, the killings once again start. They are identical to the "Interstate Killings" that had taken place years ago. The police force have to figure out if they have a copycat killer on their hands or if Beau was indeed innocent and not the killer they thought him to be.

Full of suspense and the paranormal, "The Séance" is an excellent read for anyone wanting a great story. With a bit of romance thrown in for good measure, this is a perfect novel. The ending does indeed hold surprises. ( )
