First, I liked that even though it was nonfiction it was engaging to the reader in the choice of language. The author chose words that were relevant to the students. For example, he starts off explaining the importance of bones by saying, "[y]ou wouldn't be able to ride a skateboard or swing on the monkey bars." That can really engage a reader! Also, I really liked the illustrations that had the glow in the dark bones. This can be a really fun book for kids and it is special since it can be read with the lights off and maybe a flashlight for the words. The bones instantly appear on the page! The big idea of this book was to inform young readers that they have bones. It was a very basic anatomy lesson and did not get in to the technical terms for everything until a diagram on the last page. ( ) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
