Fluffy and Baron are two pets that live on a farm, they become friends and do everything together. One day 3 wild ducks fly into the pond on the farm, Fluffy is curious of the other ducks, so she leaves Baron and joins them. Fluffy eventually comes back and lays 9 eggs. Baron gains 9 new friends and an old one back. This is a story of an unlikely friendship, but this often happens between pets. This is a great story of friendship to share to young students ( )

Fluffy, a duckling finds a new friend at the farm where they live - a dog named Baron. The two are inseparable, doing everything together until one day, Fluffy finds other ducks that look like him. He wanders off and goes to be with them, leaving Baron behind. Baron becomes very sad and lonely, wondering when his friend will come back to be with him. Will Fluffy return? This is a great read-aloud to discuss loneliness and friendship.

Fluffy and Baron is a story about a duck and a dog and an unlikely and unusual friendship between the two. They did everything together until one day fluffy is gone because there are new ducks in the pond and fluffy goes and plays with them. Baron is left without a friend. Eventually fluffy lays eggs and they hatch and they all become great friends and stay together. It’s a great story of friendship and how friends don’t leave other friends. ( )

This book was an unexpected delight. The story is based on the author's childhood pets, which I think heightens the enjoyment all the more. The strange bond between dog and duck is the heart of this story. I really liked it. ( )
