I have to admit, my whistling as a kid drove my parents - quite reasonably - insane. So I rather like this book, and find one of the ending lines nigh unbelievable.

*shrugs*

Still lots of fun, and excellent art. ( )

This is a classic story of a boy who wants to learn how to whistle. He tries and tries and finally, success! He is able to whistle. The repetition in this book along with the colorful illustrations make a book that children will want to read over and over again. ( )

I like this book because it really shows perseverance. Peter really tries hard to be able to whistle that way his dog Willie can come to him. This book tells children to never give up on something that they want. Peter was so happy when he was able to achieve what he thought was unreal. I imagine this book is a good age range from 3-5 and having your audience try to whistle at the end would be quite funny. ( )
