One goose who is different from the others has learned how to camouflage himself in different situations while the others just make fun of him. When the other geese finally realize how smart he is and that it's working for him, they decide to ask the smart goose what they need to do in order to protect themselves from the fox. At the end, the smart goose decides to help the other geese even though the others wouldn't listen at first and just made fun of him. I think that's a great lesson to teach young kids about being nice and even if other doesn't treat you right, two wrongs don't make a right. ( ) this was a very cute book. It was about a little, lonely goose that kept to himself. The whole flock of geese would tease and make fun of him because his feathers and beam was dirty. Well, the flock of geese fail to realize that this lonely goose is indeed the smartest of them all. When the moon would come out, the fox would chase all the geese except the only goose. They were all confused about why this was happening. The flock finally decided to listen and get dirty. Well... they failed to listen again and the fox got them again because this time the lonely goose was blending in with the snow. Towards the end, the lonely goose wasn't so lonely anymore because the whole flock thank him for making the fox never come back. Down at the farm, there's a gaggle geese with one lone goose who doesn't fit in with the rest. He's also the only one who's never chased by the fox, so the others beg to know his secret. It turns out that goose knows how to outsmart the fox by always staying one step ahead ... This is a short and sweet book about how fitting in isn't always the best option when it results in dangerous paths. It shows how being intelligent and thinking ahead can make life easier and safer. With the typically happy ending of a children's book, the other geese come to appreciate the lone goose for this and he no longer feels lonely by the end of the book. The illustrations in this book are sleek and simple, portraying what's noted in the text without adding much by way of little details. They are bright and engaging nonetheless, and the toddlers in my class loved looking at them and pointing out things they recognized like the full moon, the fox, and the snow. This was definitely a hit book for holding their very short attention spans. This is a story about a dirty goose, who gets made fun of by all the pristine white geese for being dirty. All the geese are afraid of the full moon because that's when the fox comes out to hunt them! All of them, except for the dirty goose who blends in to the night shadows. After hearing this is why he is never bothered, all the geese run to the nearest muddy pond. However, once winter comes, the clever dirty goose washes off to blend in with the snow and after seeing the fox run after the now-dirty geese, he kicks him away and they never bother him again. While reading this book, I thought for sure the dirty goose was going to let his other comrades get eaten by the fox. I loved how he ended up saving the day! I thought this was a cute story that can be read for all ages! The pictures were cute, too! There were a flock of geese who lived all shiny and clean on a farm, all except for one. The lone goose was not shiny or clean but dirty and the other geese made fun of him. The taunting stopped when the little dirty goose was not chased by the wolf at night. All of the other geese wanted to know his secret but he had none, he just blended in with the shadows. This book introduces children to the concept of camouflage and how some animals hide from predators. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
