Nessie is really Liam a cursed water horse. He of course falls in loves with Kris who is there trying to do the debunking. We also have a little mystery of who is killing all the women? ( ) Moon Cursed by Lori Handeland Lori Handeland had me at the beginning with the words: "The first recorded sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was by Saint Columba in AD 565. The most recent occurred just last year." Kristin Daniels was the host of a television program called Hoax Hunters, which has just been canceled. She thought if she debunked the mystery for the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland, that would prove the world would want the film. Kris has been alone since her mother died and her brother and father left, she did not know where they were but knew she would be fine all alone in Scotland. Right away she meets Liam Grant by the Urquhart Castle. He kisses her and this is just the beginning of her adventures. Dead bodies, legends of the monster, strange tattoos, love, feelings, unusual happenings and so much more. Some other characters are Jamaica who has a coffee shop, Alan Mac the constable, Dougal Scott a native of the area but from America and her landlady, Effy and Effy's brother. This is a good read and for those who have read Lori Handeland, this is another wonderful book. She has done a good job on the accents, the mystery and the description of the location brings me right back to the Loch. I have been there and it is very beautiful. I did not see Nessie that day but I did bring back a souvenir of a ceramic Nessie. I give this a four star. Leona Olson http://mnleona.blogspot.com/2012/08/moon-cursed-by-lori-handeland.html Kris Daniels has been lied to so often that she made a career out of busting myths in her Hoax Hunters reality show. But the station isn’t picking the series up for another season, just as Kris decides to tackle the Loch Ness Monster. She decides to go anyway but lets the locals believe she’s writing a children’s book since they’re not likely to want to help someone who if successful, would destroy their tourism business. She soon comes to learn that there is a conspiracy among many of the townspeople and no one admits knowing Liam Grant, the man she’s instantly attracted to who saves her life. Women are dying and it’s looking like Nessie, benign for so long, might be changing her ways. This novel takes a turn in the Nightcreature series, which for the most part has focused on werewolves until now. Will we be seeing a new direction; a wider range of creatures for Edward Mandenauer and his Jäger-Suchers to be hunting? Different legendary monsters are discussed as Edward recruits Kris to keep him in the loop with what’s happening in Drummadrochit and she’s forced to accept that legendary monsters do exist. The story is packed with mystery, suspense and romance and the author does a fine job of keeping a balanced flow of all three throughout the book. The freshness of the series, given a serious boost in Marked by the Moon, continues with this latest book. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Kristin Daniels is passionate in her pursuit of the truth. As the host of the television showHoax Hunters, she's traveled to the ends of the earth to explore--and expose--life's most enduring myths. Her latest undertaking is no exception: Kris is bound for Scotland, where she intends to get to the bottom of the Loch Ness Monster legend once and for all. Instead, Kris encounters something far more mysterious... For in the ruins of the lake's Urquhart Castle lies a heavenly creature--a sleek, muscled man with a seductive brogue named Liam Grant. One look into his eyes and Kris is already in danger of falling in too deep. Is Liam for real? Or has the spell of the moon touched them both? No library descriptions found. |
