My reviews of his works are becoming somewhat cliche: This terrified me when I first read it at twelve. I went back, wondering how I'd react to his works now. I was surprised at how much I remembered. I hate to say it, but this was dull. I felt let down by my own eagerness. It's a good stepping stone to further horror novels, though. Glad I read it so I could learn how I thought of it now. Fear Street # 44 April sure is glad she sat next to Dara in that science lab. She doesn't know Dara that well, she only just moved to Shadyside, but apparently Dara's loaded. She invited April to come to her family's ski cabin for the weekend - vacation cabins are, like, the number one murder sites but ok - and allowed April to invite Jenny and Ken, too. Jenny and Ken are the most beautiful people April has ever seen, they're so amazing, but she's sick of them making out in front of her all the time. In the limo that was sent to pick them up, is also Dara's friend Josh, who is cute in a nerdy way. Dara meets them at the cabin - but it turns out Dara's parents couldn't make it! Also, Dara's family apparently shares the cabin with another family and their son Tony and his girlfriend Carly Rae are there by mistake, but have already made out in every room. Dara's none to pleased, but decides to make the best of mixed company with a little party game. There are a few shockingly over the top reactions to the truths that are shared in this edition of Truth or Dare, but other than April's admitting she knows a secret she never wanted to know, it all seems innocuous until the horror begins the next morning! This brings us back to standard thriller territory, but I liked how April not only had some mean comments about everyone in her head, but totally took charge of the situation in-between freaking out about that murder stuff. At one point she leads the interrogation of the suspect, coolly making herself a cup of coffee before sitting down at the table. Right on April, but readers will have to find out for themselves if you can survive. Fear Street in Publication Order Next #45: 'Dead End', Fear Street #29 Previous #43: 'Wrong Number 2', Fear Street #27 AWESOME book!! One of the best RL Stine books I've read in a long while. It wasn't scary, but the mystery was great, with twists and an ending I totally didn't expect. Often, while reading a mystery, I'm able to figure out "whodunit" fairly quickly. Throughout this book, I suspected everyone but the real killer! Also, and this is true of every RL Stine book I've read, the description is wonderful! He knows just where to put in those extra details so you can really picture it... Although, is that a good thing when the subject is dead bodies? :) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

What else is there to do? There are three guys and four girls, some of them friends, some nearly strangers, but all of them trapped in a ski condo, and a blinding blizzard has stilled the lifts, blocked the roads, and killed the phones. No library descriptions found. |

My opinion of the book is mixed. I did not absolutely love it, but I did not hate it either.
Compared to Stine's other works, it wasn't as interesting. The dialogue was tacky and fake; the whole situation was completely unrealistic, leaving for an awful read. My favorite part of it was the ending. There was not much interaction between the characters, but it could have been improved.
If you are looking for something light and slightly creepy, this book is for you. You should skip it if you want absolute horror.
