Yoga Pant Nation is the third book in the Class Mom/You've Been Volunteered series. Jen Dixon is back as the snarky class mom who has opinions about everyone and anyone. She doesn't care about most things but she certainly loves her family and meddling in other people's business. She is sarcastic and for someone who can relate to the classroom antics - hilarious.

In this book, Jen Dixon is in charge of fundraising. She also is teaching spin classes and both of these things result in plenty of amusing interactions. This is a light, quick read and as long as you aren't easily offended, it is very funny.

For anyone that has ever been in a school, had kids in a school, or volunteered for anything relating to a school, you will certainly relate. This book is the third in the series and you don't have to read the other two, but it certainly helps. Many of the characters are brought back and they aren't really explained unless you remember them from the previous books ( )

Thank you to Early Readers program and the publisher for sending this to me. Unfortunately, it really didn’t resonate, and I am passing it on to someone who has expressed an interest and loves this lifestyle. I will say, however, that I love the cover colors. ( )

This whole series was so fun! I love Jen and her snarky no-BS attitude. They are the perfect light, fun, guilty-pleasure read. Don't go into it expecting high-brow literature or a scintillating plot, but if you enjoy a fun, jokey, momlife book, this one is for you.

I love the drama of the first two books, and we got some of that in this one too. It also tackled some more real-life issues, which was a nice change of pace.

Although this could be read as a standalone, I believe it would be much more interesting to the reader to have gotten more background on Jen in the first two books. ( )

Another hilarious installment in the Class Mom series. I hope I am this cool if I ever have kids. My only complaint is that this one felt really short - maybe I was just thirsting for more - who knows. Yoga Pant Nation picks up for Max's 5th grade year and his last one at his beloved elementary school. Besides being class mom (again), Jen Dixon has also been tasked with leading the fundraising committee and needs to raise $10k by the end of the year. As if that isn't enough she is babysitting her granddaughter 3 days a week, teaching spin classes, and worrying over her parents who have seemed to aged very quickly. Lots of fun and quick humor. I love this series and can't wait for the fourth installment! ( )

This is the third installment in Laurie Gelman's Class Mom series. I was worried that the characters or set up would have been warn out by now (in each book the main character Jen is an irreverent and highly untraditional class parent, this time for her son's 5th grade class/final elementary school year), but I ended up really enjoying it. I liked the PTA tie-in (a huge fundraising ask) much more than the one in the previous book (a safety patrol that sounded unpleasant in general), and the family, work, and friendship situations were also more engaging. When I got to the end I actually wondered if there would be another book in the series! My only recommendation for readers is that you really do need to read the books in order, they are not stand-alones. The story builds upon what's happened in each previous book, and honestly your good-will for Jen only grows with each book (and I'm not sure that would happen if you read them out of order!) ( )
