Wow!

Dani Rene has done it again. After Stolen, I wasn't sure how she would be able to pull it out, but I shouldn't have doubted.

I love how the trio of Caia, Drake, and River works in all the various permutations. There is a lot of emotion and chemistry between them, and it's awesome. I love the echoing trio as well. ( )

If you want a book that will leave your mind spinning, mouth agape, and the possibility of needing therapy (highly likely) them proceed forward. This is a game. Only there is no collecting $200at go because it is not monopoly. It's dark and demented, twisted. The characters themselves make the Devil look like a Hallmark movie angel in comparison to them.

This was hard to read. Yet, much like a train wreck I couldn't look away. I needed to see what makes them all tick and survive the horrors they went through. They were all broken in someone but I needed to know they could be out back together.

The author did an exceptional job getting into the mind set of depraved characters who started the game and also in the characters that had been forced to play the game that was far from happenstance.

Be warned, this is not a book for the weak. She goes pretty dark...like 13 shades of midnight in parts. Yet, the author gave all of these characters the people they needed to fix their broken and I commend her for it. Brilliantly dark. Truly sublime.

Now, I'm going to check how many therapy appointments I have left for the rest of the year. ( )
