One of the other readers said that she used to love Danielle's books and I feel the same way. I know I have said this before but she says the same thing over and over. It is not enough for her to make the point one time she has to make it again and again. This same reader also said DS resolved her characters issues too quickly and too easily and I also agree with this point as well. I don't wonder if she doesn't think she has to resolve them quickly but my two cents are she doesn't. It is okay to leave a book open-ended or to extend it beyond a set number of pages. I am almost to the point where I don't want to read her books anymore. I would almost rather reread some of her older books that I enjoyed again.

Typical Danielle Steele. Rich and privileged people. Good storyline though about forgiveness and acceptance. ( )

I enjoyed this - although I listened to it vs reading it. I think I missed out on a little bit doing it this way as my mind wanders, etc.

This was a good book about family. A mom who spent most of her children's younger years working tries to figure out how to make it up to them.

The dynamics of all the children were very different and very relatable. ( )

FIRST LINES: Olivia Grayson sat in the chairman's seat at the board meeting, listening intently to the presentations, her intense blue eyes taking in each member of the board.
COMMENTS: Every D Steel book is a connection to my mother -- she loved her books, so there is always a fondness for me when I pick up her latest book & think my mother would have enjoyed this one if she were still here. Olivia Grayson has been a driven & dedicated entrepreneur for all of her life. She started w/ a family hardware business of one store and grew it into a very successful group of international design stores. She had a very supportive husband and mother who were able to be there at home for the family when work priorites prevailed. She felt she was balancing her priorities and made the right choices. After her husband passes and she has to deal more directly w/ her grown children she is widening her perspective and trying to make more time for family. Her children now in their 40's are also finding a new way of looking at their childhood & understanding their mother's decisions. ( )
