I love fairy tales, this has fairy tale characters we know and an original main cast that is easy to fall in love with, just like the characters. I don't read many adults books so this was nice for me. It is not too simple for the characters and they all have to figure things out for themselves. Personally, a little too much swearing for me but the dialogue was natural and fun. Honestly, this is Not Good. The premise is so cute! Here are my thoughts based on the 10% I pushed through: - one of the main characters is Japanese-American and I don’t think the rep will magically become great - the big conflict between the two characters seems to consist entirely of the time in college when they had bad sex (she gives him the nickname The Boy Who Missed after he somehow unintentionally penetrates the wrong place). It’s juvenile and I just… this is not a great conflict to support a fake marriage second chance plot - the writing is clumsy and the audio narrator’s soft, smooth voice isn’t a good match for what I expected to be a silly fairytale romp - this is the straightest book I’ve read in a while ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

This book ended up reminding me of my childhood books because at the end of the story … there was a giant lesson to be learned. A moral. It made me stop and think about how I can use that lesson in my own life.
This story made me giggle, actually think and reflect, tear up, turn pages for longer than my schedule allows, and lose hours of important sleep.
I truly did end up enjoying this book. I ended up adding the other 2 in the series to my wish list! I encourage any reader who opens this book and struggles with the first half to keep going. It’s 100% worth it in the end. ( )
