I was born on a small farm in Southern Floyd County, Georgia. The Seventh Son (eight boys and three girls) details my early years, from the circumstances of my birth to the upbringing to my parents, with emphasis on developing my character. The book tells the story of my long, and sometimes difficult, path to becoming a successful businessman and how I overcome some serious health problems by reading a book which explained how to gain better health.Out of a family with eleven kids, it was difficult for parents. You had to take care of yourself and help with your sisters and brothers. Life was hard during those years with no electricity or running water. The family was very poor and had very little, but they had plenty of good food and love and support for one another. We were very seldom sick, and if we did get sick, there were a lot of family remedies to cure the illness. At that time, you only went to a doctor for extreme illness.This book is about how the Seventh Son overcome these hardships and used his upbringing to help me succeed not only in business but my health and wellbeing.
