The Shiloh Legacy series covers the lives of four young soldiers and their families through these great events: the end of World War I in France, the return of the soldiers to America, the Roaring Twenties, the stock-market crash, the resulting Great Depression, and the rebuilding of lives that must follow. Yet with all the racial, social, and cultural intolerance that marked the day-seemingly immovable mountains in the lives of these characters-God works through the tragedy, the laughter, the pain, the joy, the dramatic, and the ordinary to create a yearning in their hearts for a faith that moves mountains.… (mere)

Set mainly in the USA in the aftermath of World War I. Drama, violence, loss heartache... it's all there. It paints a horrific picture of life in the USA in these times, where racism was rife apparently.

Comfusing at first with a large cast of people, and continual switching of viewpoints. But well-written and gripping ( )

This feel good tale deals with the stories of several men returning from World War I. They each face their share of hardships--from prejudice to the aftermath of an amputation--but the good Lord helps each of them through their struggles. A good read for those who like tales with multiple characters and stories where there are struggles but the characters rise above them with help from above. ( )

This is an excellent author. The Shiloh Legacy tells of WWI and the troubled times of our nation immediatly after, especially with the KKK being very active. Heartbreaking is what it is. This author does her research and writes very well. I'm looking forward to getting the other books in this series. ( )
