1001 THINGS TO SPOT IN THE TOWN is an activity book for students to work on finding the objects. In this book, the illustrator has drawn different scenes from a town. The illustrator then includes smaller pictures hidden in the bigger picture for the students to find. I remember these types of books from when I was little. I loved looking through and finding the different smaller pictures. I think that students will enjoy looking through this book as well. It is more challenging than an “I Spy” book and my students are always looking for a challenge. Additionally, this book helps depict different aspects of a town and different types of towns from around the world. This book would make a great addition to a classroom library. If additional copies of this book could be purchased it would be a good book to use for students who finish their work early. This is a fun activity book for students to look at. ( )

The Usborne Things to Spot books are outstanding and an almost guaranteed source of interest for children of all ages. The youngest will enjoy the variety of things to look at while older children will be able to enjoy the search for specific objects in the detailed pictures. ( )
