Gustavo is good at doing all sorts of ghostly things: walking through walls, making objects fly, and glowing in the dark. And he loves almost nothing more than playing beautiful music on his violin. But Gustavo is shy, and some things are harder for him to do, like getting in a line to buy eye scream or making friends with other monsters. Whenever he tries getting close to them, he realizes they just can't see him. Now that the Day of the Dead is fast approaching, what can he do to make them notice him and to share with them something he loves?… (mere)

I love that this book can be read to celebrate Halloween and Hispanic Heritage Month. I also think Gustavo is the sweetest little ghost. Like someone else said, I too would die for Gustavo even though he's already dead. ( )

Fun book set around a Day of the Dead Celebration. The story of a shy ghost who struggles with letting people see his true self. He hides out of fear of acceptance, of being loved for who he is. This story will resonate with many and the mixed medium illustrations are just an added bonus ( )

This was the cutest story. I read it to my best friend, Charles. I loved the art work and the story. I can't wait for my nephew to read it. He loves ghosts. ( )
