The romances are so messed up ( )

Before I even dare begin this review, I want to say that I loved Tyler Corbin in this. He had some of the best zingers.

Tyler started laughing. "Kylie's got a glitter muff!" He shouted across at her and Orion smacked him over the head with a slap of air.

Those that weren't helped by Tyler who hollered, "Is that your girlfriend, sir? I hope she knows her way around your banana."

Orion folded his arms, moving to stand in front of the fruit selection, looking thoroughly amused, "With the coming Lunar Eclipse -"

"It's coming so hard!" Tyler cried out and Orion shot a blast of water at him that sent him crashing to the floor, his seat flipping over on him.

And though I do find Tyler amusing, I also think a lot of attention should go to Geraldine when she is around because that girl has become one of my favorite side characters. I love the way she talks and I love how she is able to put Max in his place several times over. She does not show any interest in him nor does she take kindly to his interest in her. She is just so badass and I am glad the twins have added her to their group.

This is book three in the Zodiac Academy series and in the final pages, we finally see exactly what Order the twins belong to. Now, I am not going to say I was surprised because really I wasn't. I was not surprised to find out what they were because honestly, I was expecting something like this. They had made mention of several extinct orders and I knew they would have to belong to at least one of them - and why not THAT one?

I will say that I am having a love/hate relationship with this series. Mainly because of how slow the storyline is moving and the whole relationship Tory has with Darius. There have been moments within the story that I think they are moving forward only to find that something has either halted progress or sent it back to the start. This can be a bit annoying but at the same time, I can also see why Tory is so distrusting of Darius. He did try to harm her in the first book and he has made no attempt to fix anything he or the others have done to them. So, this is understandable.

HOWEVER, I am not a fan of Caleb. I do not care for him. He is clingy. Doesn't seem to understand boundaries. Doesn't take into consideration that Tory has no fallible interest in him. I can't even really call them "fuck buddies". Yes, they have had sex here and there but that has been pretty much it. She has not initiated any of their interactions. Most of it has been from him. The only thing I liked is that Darius pisses him off whenever he is with Tory.

Personally, not my favorite series but I will finish it up. ( )

Full Review on my blog!

OMG! This was so much more than I expected, it was such a rollercoster ride, in a good way. I'm speechless. Caroline and Susanne have done it again! This book is absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed reading it, I literally devoured it in a day. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll be about to get over this one just yet.

Let me start off by saying, this series is a whole new take on the zodiac and mythological creatures. I loved all the different aspects of the book. It was brilliant, the characters have so much depth, the pace is great, the world is absolutely beautiful and so unique and fresh.. I wish I lived in this world.. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a fae, who can also wield one or more of the elements (Air. Fire. Water. Earth.) and can also be possibly be a vampire, werewolf, dragon shifter, hydra, medusa, etc. Ooo wee! This book literally has it all. It wasn't too much and definitely wasn't too little, it was the perfect combinations of all those things and more.

"What will a Fae do to claim their rightful place in Solaria?"
"Anything."

Zodiac Academy: The Reckoning is the third book in the Beasts and Bullies series and pretty much continues where the second book ends, after the nymph attack.

It's Hell Week on campus, which marks the beginning of The Reckoning week. During this week all students, mainly freshmen, have to pass their Elemental trials and of course the finally assessment which will determine whether they are worthy being fae and kind of secures their place at the academy. But that's not all they have to endure during this week, a fun little twist, where any of their peers will also throw further 'tests' their way and making their lives hell!

Tory and Darcy are becoming stronger as they learn how to control their elemental magic more. It's awesome to see how far they've come since they arrived at Zodiac Academy. The relationships with the heirs becomes more complicated, as does Darcy's relationship with Orion. We get a hilarious sex education class, and a whole new set of problems to face.

We also FINALLY find out which Order Tory and Darcy are in! No spoilers! hehe

The last few chapters were really intense and THE FREAKING ENDING OMG!!!! And yes, of course the cliffhanger, these two authors definitely know how to keep their readers hanging in suspense for the next book! This book is absolutely fantastic, exciting, thrilling, terrifying, and addicting. It will leave you wanting more! The characters are complex and the storyline is great!

I can’t wait for the next book, Zodiac Adademy: Shadow Princess!

I highly recommend it!

Another great installment in the Zodiac Academy Series! Many of the plot lines are finally starting to intersect and come to a head which I am really enjoying. And the way that this books plays with my emotions about these characters is sinful to say the least. The one thing that I will say is that these books really do need to be read one right after the other. Unlike other series, the next book in line doesn't offer a brief synopsis or gentle reminders of what has happened in the past. The books read very much like one story that was broken apart just for the sake of length, which I really enjoy! You can go straight from the last page of one book to the first page of the next and it picks up exactly where you left off. However if you are someone who likes to jump around between series, or take breaks in between books, you may find yourself missing some of the recap that most series have at the beginning of a new book.
