Fiction. Western. Thriller. Historical Fiction. HTML:THE GREATEST WESTERN WRITER OF THE 21ST CENTURY

In his authentic, powerfully told tales of the American frontier, William W. Johnstone has defined the Western hero and established an action-packed series that ranks among the bestselling in print. In this rugged new novel, Johnstone sets his sights on the one place that was too wild even for the Wild West . . .

No Man's Land

Kansas doesn't want it. Neither does Texas. The 35-mile wide strip of land destined to become the Oklahoma panhandle is a place unlike any other on the frontier: with no laws, no rules, and a powerful attraction for killers, looters, and fugitives. Frank Morgan, a gunfighter feared by all and hated by some, has been warned to stay the hell out of "the strip." But warnings never did work well on Morgan, and he's more determined than ever to stayâ??when an ambush nearly takes his life. Soon, in a remote cabin in the heart of No Man's Land, Morgan will wake up to discover that he has just cause and a burning need to go out and fight. All he lacks is an allyâ??in a place where all his enemies want him dead

Title: No Man’s Land (The Last Gunfighter #9)
Author: William W. Johnstone
E-book Pages: 240
Year: 2016
Publisher: Pinnacle
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
Ever hear of the character Frank Morgan? Frank Morgan is the main character in the Johnstone series The Last Gunfighter. He is also known by the moniker Drifter. Frank travels where the wind blows along with a dog and his horse. He occasionally comes across folks seeking to settle down though more often he runs into men on the prowl.
Frank is drifting when a small group of travelers crosses his path. While most are kind, the leader of the group doesn’t seem to be the kind to lead the folks to their final destination. When Frank shadows the group, he soon realizes that death and danger are what the group leader has in mind. Frank comes to the aid of the survivors of the massacre, the women and girls, and agrees to get them to their new land.
What Frank doesn’t count on his how it will change his life. Frank is falling in love with one of the women named Daisy, and she is bound and determined to settle him down. But can the gunfighter really hang up his guns with enemies always on the lookout for him? When Frank is severely injured, an unlikely couple comes to his rescue with the hope of saving him.
In this novel, Frank has to regroup and recoup as his very survival depends on it! The other novels in the series are just as exciting and fun to read. Currently, I am reading them in order and hope you join me on the trail with Frank Morgan. If you care to travel along the books in order are: The Drifter, Reprisal, Ghost Valley, The Forbidden, Showdown, Imposter, Rescue and The Burning.
