Ten Tales of a Dark Tomorrow by Kevin A. Kuhn is a collection of short stories running the gamut from speculative fiction and alternative history to sci-fi and fantasy. The entire collection is, as the author says, a play on The Twilight Zone, and I can certainly see this as episodes of the iconic show!

Each story has a preface, where the author explains the inspirations behind it. I love reading these kinds of prefaces. It's neat to see what triggers the train of thought leading to stories (or the inspiration behind art pieces for that matter). Each of these stories is a brilliant piece of writing, thought-provoking, with a touch of humour. I enjoyed every single one of them, which is saying something. Usually short story collections contain at least one or two stories I feel kinda meh towards. Well worth checking out!

***Many thanks to the author and publisher for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. Reviewed for Reeds & Reels Blog Tours. ( )
