The thrilling sequel to instant New York Times bestseller All the Stars and Teeth, called "captivating" by Tomi Adeyemi, "Vicious and alluring" by Hafsah Faizal, and "phenomenal" by Adrienne Young. Now author Adalyn Grace is back with more high seas adventure in All the Tides of Fate, this electrifying fantasy, perfect for fans of Stephanie Garber's Caraval and Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series.
Through blood and sacrifice, Amora Montara has conquered a rebellion and taken her rightful place as queen of Visidia. Now, with the islands in turmoil and the people questioning her authority, Amora cannot allow anyone to see her weaknesses.
No one can know about the curse in her bloodline. No one can know that she's lost her magic. No one can know the truth about the boy who holds the missing half of her soul.
To save herself and Visidia, Amora embarks on a desperate quest for a mythical artifact that could fix everythingâ??but it comes at a terrible cost. As she tries to balance her loyalty to her people, her crew, and the desires of her heart, Amora will soon discover that the power to rule might destroy her.

A great conclusion to this duology. I love that we jumped right back in to the story and that Amora was started traveling the kingdom and visiting the different areas.

I loved the decisions that Amora and Ferrick made; both decisions were made out of love and had far reaching impacts. ( )

I really enjoyed the first book but this one fell a little flat for me. I think that was at least in part because Amora’s character became much more annoying in this book. I just wanted to yell at her the whole time to TRUST HER CREW and TRUST BASTIAN….UGH!! Because of course, you could tell exactly what was going to happen if/when she didn’t. The book also had a weird pace where things were happening yet it felt like it wasn’t until the end that a lot happened and then almost abrupt resolution. I am also unsure how I feel about the ending but I will say that it did make sense. ( )

So I liked the first one, but this one not so much. I just couldn't get into it at all and I've given up trying.

My heart is officially broken from that ending ( )

After absolutely loving the first book, I was disappointed by this one. It seemed to unfortunately fall victim to a second book slump where all of the things I loved in the first one - big cast of characters journeying together and fierce heroine - are now broken up after the final events of the first book. Our once fierce main character is now overcome with self doubt and starts down a destructive path of lies and shutting herself off from others. I spent too much of this book disliking her instead of rooting for her. I get that she was grieving but it made for a tough read. Our cast is now broken up or no longer close. The whole "must find a husband" plot didn't interest me, and it seems like the author discarded it too quickly as well. It got better, but I was let down. I wanted to love it but it was just okay to me ( )
