Pip and Squeak, who are both mice, were headed to a friend's birthday party and on the way to the party they realized they had forgotten the gift. While heading to the party, they started looking for a new gift. The original gift was cheese and when they came across a carrot on a snowman they assumed it was a large piece of cheese and took it as their gift. The carrot happened to be the perfect gift because their friend was revealed as a rabbit in the end. I liked this book because when I first read it I thought their friend was a mouse until they arrived at the party and the illustration showed it was a rabbit. I would suggest this book for kindergarten and 1st grade. This is a good book to read when teaching about the winter season or when teaching about animals and the food they eat. ( )

Well, it's adorable. Kind of quiet, in a way, not much to say about it except that we would have enjoyed it when my boys were tiny. Read Dolly's review. ( )
