Second chance stories can sometimes be hit or miss for me if there’s not enough character development, and here it was harder as I felt like I was dumped into the middle of the story. I still loved both Christian and Riley, but it was a bit harder to see how far they’d come. It was good to see the origins of Mitch and Alex here which is why I wanted to seek this one out and see them again, but this wasn’t as amazing as the Stick Side series for me (granted it could have been the novella format too, although a lot can be packed in when done right). Lack of communication is the key here but it was an enjoyable ride while they worked things out. And LOL at Christian's cock-blocking Mum. (
