First swamp story in the collection. Let it be known that grave robbing (or maybe just grave disturbing?) mysterious indecipherable books from Arabia and India = bad idea. This one actually works, largely because of the tension provided by the improbable introduction of the telephone to the plot. (Lovecraft probably could have done wonders with cellphones, horror-wise.) Also, (Moved 2015 review to the individual work Sept. 2017 to make room to review the collection under its own entry. I remember this one really well. Also, now know that Randolph Carter is to become a familiar fellow.) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
