There is not a doubt that this author can write some broody teenage angst. Her characterizations are spot on. In fact, the whole high school thing takes me back to when I was in high school. However, her men are so much better than the men I had at my school. Niko. This delicious moody man. I loved o what lengths he went to in order to get his prize. And Demi, I loved her attitude and her willingness to see beyond the mask.

Was this book perfect? No. I had issues with the Mom and with the motives of Alex. Despite this, I still found myself caught up in this fake relationship and watching these characters navigate the world of discovering the importance of love. (

Honestly my favorite Meagan Brandy book. Served fake dating trope but also friends to lovers and was wholesome enough on one end that her trademark angst and like heartbreaking backstory felt well balanced rather than too much. Mostly a fun, easy to read in one sitting book! (
