I really enjoyed this read. I loved both the diversity of this read but also the plot. I loved the setting of this book so much and found the mansion full of secrets to be so fun. I also also normally a big fan of animal as a sidekick and loved this bunny so much. I also loved the characters in this read and love how this book fleshed out. I thought the end of the story was a bit rushed but really hope we get more books in this series in the future. I really loved the main character.

A really pretty graphic novel with a cute, short story. As Zatanna GNs go, I still prefer "Bloodspell", but as an alternative, I think this one is great for younger readers. I would have loved having a DC GN like this as a kid.

The story's a bit rushed in places - the typical school drama, for instance, feels generic, and is just magically fixed at the end, even though one character is randomly acting out of character for no apparent reason and brushing off bullying...? I'm not sure what the point of this narrative is, particularly when its conclusion has nothing to do with the primary plot narrative conclusion. Basically Zatanna fixes the magical issue, so her regular life is just... normal now, I guess. Because the story has to end.

Otherwise, seeing this version of Klarion was interesting, and the Witch Queen is pretty.

Overall, a cute, brief, gorgeously drawn tale about Zatanna. If you like Zatanna stories, check out "Bloodspell". The story's a lot more fun. ( )
