Perpetuates some of the disturbing parts of the modern Santa Claus folklore. Uses he/him pronouns for the generic elf. The story is more confusing than the other fantastical How to... books in the series; my child was asking questions about the characters were doing. The instructions are meant for a group but are so vague for such a messy project that I expect most families or pods (as the coronavirus pandemic is headed into a disastrous season) will likely end up frustrating.

I like Elliott the Elf, though. The illustrations are also wonderful. (
