This was a rather sweet book. It’s very simple with each page depicting one thing a child likes. My almost two-year-old granddaughter liked trying to say some words she knew after recognizing some of the pictures. When it was time to go home after our Shabbat dinner tonight, she gladly received this book to take home to her own house. She liked this book, too ( )

I guess Browne needed a break from creating artistic intense metaphorical works. I found none of that interesting stuff here. In fact, I found nothing special at all here. We already have lots of books just like this. ( )

Things I like is a book that shows different things that you can "like." This helps kids say exactly what they like and they can connect to it by saying to their friends what they like and compare that to what their friends like.

This book would be perfect for a kindergarden class. It has monkey talking about all of the different things that he likes. You could ask the children to draw a picture of something they like. It could also be read during an after lunch reading time or any other time a teacher just needs to fill.
