Her style is more home-cook than gourmet and she likes to explain things well. Hermes House cookbooks illustrate every recipe with a photograph and sometimes one for each step in making the dish, so this is a perfect marriage of author and publisher. ( ) There really isn't much difference between this Lorenz Books' edition and Hermes House's the Caribbean Central and South American Cookbook. Both Lorenz and Hermes House of imprints of Anness Publishing so its not surprising. If you like Caribbean food then it is definitely worth getting one of these books, but not both.
