If skimming a book and a variety of pink, orange, and red flags sounds appealing, then this is the book for you. I want my time refunded. ( ) Tessa Bailey knows how to write novels that are meaningful, relatable, emotional, and sexy. I think entertainment weekly said it best when they stated Tessa Bailey was the "Michelangelo of dirty talk." The story of Rosie and Dominic is passionate and emotional for both characters. The steamy scenes between the two are hot, hot, hot! A faithful wife and a faithful husband who had returned from overseas Sexual passion (they had it) wasn't enough... This one impacted me DIFFERENTLY. Amazing and rare passion between the MCs given their circumstances. STRONG SISTERHOOD... MARRIAGE COUNSELING.... LONELINESS... SECRETS.... I will re-read/listen again. Love languages were mentioned After I read and liked Fix Her Up, I read a lot of old Tessa Bailey books and quickly adjusted my expectations to this book after reading those. There were a lot of similarities between those eg the Police Academy series and this like - The too many "cold" sex scenes, the silent strong hero, the juvenile-ish behavior of the rest of the cast. I associate Tessa Bailey with romantic comedy but this is far from it. And the cover is misleading! Rosie and Dominic have drifted apart. The only time they connect is through sex - it goes to show that those who say that without good sex, there is no future to a relationship. When there is nothing else, both of them feel uncared for. They go to a therapist to help them connect - at first it is presented as a dare laid down by Rosie, but Dominic rises to the challenge shocking her to the core. But the therapy gives them both hope and makes Rosie realises she is as much at fault as him, which she had no insight into beforehand. They learn about love languages and work at speaking each others language to each other. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

HTML: The #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Happened One Summer and Hook, Line, and Sinker returns with a unique, sexy rom-com about a young married couple whose rocky relationship needs a serious renovation... Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie's lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp. Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippie. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he's all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculousâ??yet surprisingly helpfulâ??assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they're getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret... and it could demolish everything. "Her voice feels as fresh and contemporary as a Netflix rom-com." â??Entertainment Weekly *Named one of the Best Romances of 2020 by Insider and Oprah Magazine + Marie Claire's Best New Books of 2020* No library descriptions found. |
