Note: I received an ARC of this book from the publisher at ALA Annual 2019. ( ) Though I found out Lem is the mind behind Solaris after I finished the book, it makes perfect sense. Though light and slight, The Seventh Voyage is about how little we know ourselves. Stuck in a time loop, Ijon Tichy can't seem to convince the other versions of himself (all born by careening through black holes)to believe him and cooperate to fix the rudder, even when he knows it's in his best interest! It does get fantastically confusing near the end, when there are multiple versions of Tichy, all on their own path with their own goals, but I actually really liked that. It really gave you the disorienting and frustrating feel of being stuck in a time loop with you as your own worst enemy. A fun introduction to the adventures of Ijon Tichy. This is one chapter as a graphic novel, taken from Lem's "The Star Diaries". The astronaut's ship becomes damaged by a meteorite and goes off-course, routing him through time-vortices, causing multiple selves to appear, and all the dilemmas that go with it! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
