Wordplay Poems Rhymes This is a book I would have worn out when I was a child. ?áIt's a selection of some of the very best riddles, tongue-twisters, homonym puns, and other fun bits for fans of words. ?áMany of them I've never seen before. ?áFor example, instead of the classic the group of animals to which trout and tuna belong is spelled ghoti" it claims that the white fleshed root vegetable often served mashed or baked is spelled "gheaughteighptough." ?áAnd of course the way to spell what one does when forming words on paper with a pencil is spelled neither right nor wrong.... Then there's: A famous painter Met his death Because he couldn't?á Draw his breath. Unfortunately the answers to the riddles are given in the illustrations, spoiling the fun of those. ?áIf you do buy this to give to your favorite child, I suggest you cover the pictures with post-it notes before handing it over. ?á " ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
