A clever book of poetry about all things science. The poems are written using old familiar poems as the foundation, but always with a scientific twist. Very fun! ( )

Science Verse is a story about a little boy who speaks on different science topics using poetry. He talks about the water cycle, the solar system, the food chain, and the scientific method just to name a few. Many of the poems are read to the beat of familiar nursery rhymes like twinkle twinkle little star, Mary had a little lamb, and I'm a little teapot. Super cute book. The author does a great job of getting all of the topics into one book. The illustrations gave great visual on the process of each topic. ( )

This started out with a teacher talking very monotone about science. Then one of the students was put under a science curse and went on adventures learning about things like dinosaurs and the food chain. It ended with the student waking up in class realizing he had been asleep the whole time. It used fun mix of literary elements and used common nursery rhymes to talk about other science topics. The story is written in a fun rhymey poetic way that makes it very interesting to read. Unfortunately, since I could not get a physical copy of this book I could only find one read aloud online and the person used special effects and sound effects which for me kind of took away from the story and I couldn't see the whole page at a time. I liked the book but I would definitely come back and write a more detailed review when I can get my hands on a physical copy of this story. ( )

This was my favorite science book thus far. It even contains a CD in the back of it. (unfortunately I do not have a CD player at the moment). This book is a science poetry verse book. each page is a lesson on a subject. The lessons range from the food-chain, the scientific method, to the universe. It was very informative, humorous, and had great illustrations and rhymes. ( )
