I will open this review saying I might have given this book a 3 or 3.5 rating, but I ordered it from Merry Makers with an insanely adorable plush of the hero. That's worth a star.
As children books go, this is a perfectly capable entry. There are colorful photos throughout that are, thankfully, not insanely busy like occasionally happens to cover bad writing. The book is a very simple set up and message; nothing groundbreaking, but it's absolutely a fine book to read with your kids. It's worth checking out, but fully worth buying if you go the route that comes with the plush. It would really help kids connect a bit to hug the hero, I think. ( )

Tiny would love to give a hug to his friend Spikey, who’s having a bad day. But his arms are so short! This is an adorable book about problem solving and being a good friend. ( )

I really enjoyed this book since it made me laugh and it also talks about how to make a friend feel better. I think that nowadays kids think that materials make someone feel better but at the end of the day the comfort of someone who you trust makes someone feel better. I also teaches them a way to overcome their challenges. ( )
