An entertaining and fast read with interesting concepts. I look forward to the obvious sequel. Highly recommended. -- YetAnotherBookReview.com, 2005De la Torre has presented a well-written, fast moving adventure that fits into the Clive Cussler/Dan Brown mode. -- Baryon Speculative Fiction Review, 2005 The author done the homework and come up with a novel full of exotic places, musty-dusty finds and the Gods. -- Fantasy Novel Review, 2006 The hunt is breathless, moving at a breakneck speed that has you turning the page quicker as the end nears. -- sffworld.com, 2005 This is a fabulous wild ride that readers in search of something well written, quite interesting, and very different will appreciate this fist book in a great epic saga and look forward to more adventures. - Harriet Klausner, #1 Amazon Reviewer ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Several characters are unconvincing and really, really thin. While the author goes to great lengths describing the physical beauty of Apollo, Prometheus, Ares and even some mortal males, he chooses to portray a really obnoxious and repulsive character as gay, Women are portrayed rather exactly as in 1940's adventure novels; to ooh and aah over the heroic males, to be rescued when needed, or to be a villainous seductress.
The number of incorrect spellings and hackneyed word choices dropped me out of the immersive experience time after time. Use of science, too, was painful. "We come from the fifth dimension," AAGH.
Good concept, weak execution. ( )
