"When Daisy Ramona zooms around her neighborhood with her papi on his motorcycle, she sees the people and places she's always known. She also sees a community that is rapidly changing around her. But as the sun sets purple-blue-gold behind Daisy Ramona and her papi, she knows that the love she feels will always be there. With vivid illustrations and text bursting with heart, My Papi Has a Motorcycle is a young girl's love letter to her hardworking dad and to memories of home that we hold close in the midst of change."--… (mere)

This book is good for primary and intermediate children. I thought that this was such a good book. This book talks about the relationship between father an daughter. It starts off with a father taking his daughter on a motorcycle ride through town. It shows a small town within the Latinx community struggling. Although they look like they are struggling they all have each other.

My Papi Has a Motorcycle shows how even when surroundings change memories always hold true. The book does a good job of using descriptive pictures to show the town that Daisy and her father are driving through. It introduces kids to the idea of community, change, and hard work. It is a simple book with pictures that grab the readers attention. This book would be suitable for all ages due the the nature of the message and would be a good book for a read aloud.

1. I would recommend this book to lower to middle elementary school students.
2. This book is an example of a book that can show culture through a story. This book explains what it is like growing up in a Hispanic family. It also is a great book to explain father, daughter connection.
3.I would highly recommend this book due to the great father daughter connection as well as to introduce other cultures into the classroom

Book for primary through intermediate. A young girl tells the story of how her dad takes her on a motorcycle drive when he gets off work as a way of spending time with her even though he is tired after work. Some Spanish in this book!

Heartwarming story about a girl and her dad riding a motorcycle. It's based on the author's own experiences and is filled with love. Good for talking about Latinx experiences and parent-child relationships in class. ( )
