Great murder mystery in easy readers format. Jen was at the party where an adult neighbour who came to check on them was brutally murdered. Which one of the party-goers did it? She starts asking questions and her poking around causes a few ruffles and some violent behaviour from the other students. There are acouple of red herrings to sort out as we the readers try to work out with Jen whodunnit... ( )

Another grade 3 level book written for middle to high school students. High interest, teen themes, exciting plot. These Orca Soundings books are turning my most limited and disabled students into avid readers! ( )

This book is based on a murder that happened in my hometown. I was curious to see how true to the actual story the author would stick. The facts are all the same, and unfortunately so is the code of silence that enveloped this case for several years. Luckily, the teens involved in the book came to the realization that the truth needed to come out. This book would make an excellent resource for discussions on moral issues and the importance of being honest no matter how tough the consequences may be. ( )

Truth is about a guy named Ted Granville that brought a gun to school. Three guys beat him up because they were using self-defense. He was 43 yrs. old with kids that were in elementary. alfred wells is investingating on the case. He was taking pictures and making notes of blood, struggles and body positions. I recommend this book to another student because this involves with teens our age and maybe they can learn from reading the book.
