This is a sweet rendition from a favorite song of mine. The song is something I wanted to tell all my children...it just fit as something a parent would like to pass on to those they love the most. The book does have a little bit of conflict as to what age it should be given to. But, of course, the song is geared to an older person...teen and up, so having the book for a younger age group made it a little difficult to really address either age group perfectly. ( )

Good book to use in a classroom to talk about parental relationships.

This is such a cute book. It is the lyrics to "I hope you dance" and it is a little girl listening to her mother. This has some poetry elements in it which make it good for children who are learning the beginning portions of poetry. This could be for children from kindergarten to about second grade. ( )

I love this book! It is actually lyrics from a song, but the meaning is very powerful. It is about a mother talking to her child about taking chances. Although it is super easy to read, it could be used for upper elementary to describe what the meaning of the story is.
