A friend (MH) sent me this book in a box of books. I don't recall reading the author before, I haven't read any other books in "The Jones Gang" and it's been a long time since I've read Silhouette Special Editions. (I remember why now.)

I'm not quite sure why an advice to the lovelorn show would be called Honeymoon Hotline.

I think Oggie had good advice when he said that Nevada's definition of herself had been based on hate for her father and that once her father was gone/she forgave him, she was kind of lost. He was probably also right that it was something only she could fill even though she was looking to Chase to fill that emptiness for her.

Concerning advice: "You can be scared. And confused. And not have the answers. And make love anyway." This is certainly true within the confines of a committed marriage. But outside of that, as Nevada says a few sentences later "It isn't wise."

And that sex outside of marriage is one of my pet peeves with this publisher's series. It's all treated so casually. Doesn't matter if you're in a committed relationship or not--if lust calls, just fall into bed. My fear is that impressionable readers are going to think real life is going to play out like these fictional scenarios--and the reality is, real life doesn't always follow the script we want it to.
