p11 - Dr A T Pierson, who reminds us that the words prophet and prophecy occur over 400 times in Scripture, commenting on the the two senses conveyed by the term prophet, summarizes: "When a prophet predicts, or foretells, he sees or represents the future in the light of the present; when he rebukes, reproves, counsels, or admonishes as Jehovah's representative messenger - forth-telling rather than fore-telling - he portrays the present in the light of the future....."
p17 - As the prophecies concerning Christ's first coming were correct and infallible, being fulfilled to the most minute detail, so all the prophecies concerned with His second advent must be literally fulfilled. Acceptance of the credibility and infallibility of the one set of prophecies involves the same admission of the second set.
p29 - The whole of Scripture revolves around Jesus and can be divided in a threefold way: Jesus is coming - Genesis to Malachi. Jesus has come - the four gospels. Jesus is coming again - the Acts to Revelation.
