Yet again another story I had only heard bits and pieces of I had only seen the seven dwarfs, the poisonous apple, and the big talking mirror. I never knew the detailed plot of the mother being envious and her guard taking her to the forest to set her free. I never knew why she lived with dwarfs until I realized it was the only house she could find in the woods. The ongoing attempts to get rid of snow white and asking the mirror the tradition quote "Mirror, Mirror on the wall who is fairest of them all? " provided repetition and unity throughout the stories plot. The glass casket to allow the dwarfs to admire her black hair, white skin, and rosy cheeks was the same here and the prince coming up the mountain made me see true loves kiss coming to save Snow White. I loved that although I thought these longer fairy tales would be boring and have unnecessary details. These captivated and drew me into the story. The poisonous comb and the foods and disguise of the stepmother drew me in to see what would happen next. ( )
